About Bud Schrader Photography
Bud was born and raised in Hocking County. He has always been intrigued by photography, but never really became serious about it until his mother gave him her 35mm Minolta because she did not know how to use it. He was supposed to learn how to use it and then teach her. Little did she know. Thus, a love affair began with photography that has grown over the years. Needless to say, his knowledge of photography has grown, and of course, his camera has been upgraded to a digital Nikon. His passion is the Hocking Hills and Lake Logan, as that is where he grew up. However, it is not limited to those areas only. Wherever he travels, his eye catches scenes that most of us are too busy to see. His desire is to capture the moments in time for all of us to enjoy. As you will see in his work, there is beauty everywhere.
Over the last few years, Bud has ventured into the realm of portrait photography. He has brought the same passion that you will see in his landscapes to this area of photography. He is constantly looking for that element that will make the photography session just a little bit different, so that the end result is unique, beautiful, and personal. It is all the better if he can capture the spirit of the moment. Whether it is a portrait of a graduate as they enter another phase of their life, a family coming together to create a memory, grandparents as they will not always be with us, a couple as they embrace life together, or capturing the innocence of our children. Life goes by so quickly. What could be more important than capturing these moments of our lives before they slip away forever?
